What we do
We promote the protection of the badgers, their setts and habitats in Cheshire and Wirral. We do this by:
- Providing assistance and support to both individuals and agencies such as Police, RSPCA and Natural England
- Helping to protect the badgers of the UK nationally through our membership of and input into the Badger Trust
- Managing two woodland areas for the benefit of native fauna and flora
- Raising the profile of and support for the badger by appearances at the County and local shows
- Supporting both national and local wildlife monitoring and rehabilitation efforts
- Maintaining ongoing surveys to monitor the health and extent of our local badger population
- Delivering talks to local organisations
- Producing a tri-yearly newsletter for members
- Arranging visits to observe badgers in their natural environment
